i've got lots of things to be thankful for. but mostly i'm thankful for the people i'm surrounded with. everyone has helped shape me for the last year. i'm hoping that the changes are for the best. i've gone through the whole spectrum of happy, sad, indifferent and selfishly taken everyone around me along for the ride.
i'm sorry to say that i am still struggling with my responsibilities. i feel good inside when people recognize what i am going through, even more so when they say that they understand it. but what i don't share is the constant tugging that happens. i daydream a lot. a consequence of which is that i set myself up for dissappointments based on personal fairy tales. i want to get away with shirking my duties. i want to get on a bus and dissappear. i want to take care of only myself. but i will never be able to live myself if i do. the luxuries i allow myself then are hopefully inconsequential and fleeting.
i've got a long way to go to be the man i hope to be. but i've gone far enough to be old at trying, that's the best anyone can really do.
so, i want to thank everyone who has to deal with me in long spans of time. thank you for not jumpng across the room and stranggling me. in the next year of my life i'm sure to find new ways of annoying each and everyone of you.
thank you for helping me feel better about myself.

The Nethernet: PMOG Beta
ah yes. stumbleupon was so useful when trying to find and reach corners on the web. PMOG brings things to another level.
the game plays against a person's web browsing habits. it is classed as an MMORPG but it is passive. i have been on it and have been at times very surprised by what other people have been visiting and offer to show in the case of 'missions' a player can take. these mission can be beneficial in the game due to 'data points' that can be gained as well as being entertained by the sites on offer.
it is cool enough to realize that the borders of the web that you reached are actually the edges of the light you use; the ends are even farther off. it is even cooler to see distant lights showing the way (and maybe a few DP strewn on the path).

Picasaweb: Face recog
i am apologizing in advance to everyone who has a picture in my photos on Picasaweb . . .
i tried doing the face tags thing and frankly have gotten tired staring at my friends faces.
funny things i have noticed:
doing class pictures must suck . . .
i tried doing the face tags thing and frankly have gotten tired staring at my friends faces.
funny things i have noticed:
- Lem gets singled out with scary accuracy.
- Tammy gets mistaken for someone else the most by the face recog
- Lyn is the cam whore in the Lighthouse pictures (but that must have been the obvious outcome)
- it gets harder when we start making funny faces, or the pics get darker
- i could see the weight gain loss gain loss cycles we all went through (okay, just gain for me)
- i can't believe i have pictures of Chipper with hair
doing class pictures must suck . . .
